Abhaya Kalpa Foundation (AKF) was founded in 1995. The aim was to provide food, accommodation, medical assistance to disadvantaged elderly & education to children. Since that times, approach to humanitarian assistance has evolved to relief activities to long-term community development and emergency assistance that helps children, their families and their communities around India.

We share a strong belief in educated women would not only contribute to the economy but also issues of population and social evils like the dowry system and child marriage would reduce as more women are educated. So the foundation also is trying to impact the nation's development through education of the girl child,

AKF Over the years, have helped communities throughout India to support themselves so that children have access to their rights including the right to:

• Protection

• Basic education

• Proper healthcare

• A healthy environment

• Livelihood opportunities

• Their participation in decisions making process which affect their lives.

AKF also is working with and for disadvantaged elderly by providing elderly relief through various interventions such as –  healthcare programs through its Healthcare Camps spanning the country providing free healthcare services to destitute elders, it helps elders earn their livelihood.

AKF is active with its Emergency Response Team always to support Relief Activities throughout India in the need of the hour.
