Medical Camps

Since 1995, Abhaya Kalpa Foundation Trust (AKFT) has organized 1500 medical camps and treated over 4,62,000 patients through the Medical Camps project.

In rural areas, there are often no facilities available for basic health care needs. The few that are there are under-staffed and mismanaged. Due to such circumstances, the poor living in these remote locations go on suffering from easily preventable diseases.

AKFT sponsors health camps in such remote locations and arranges for medical teams, medical supplies and medicines to benefit the poor. Patients identified at the Medical Camps who need more in-depth treatment are helped under Medical Assistance project.

We empower physicians and specialists to donate their expertise, time & partner with other health organizations to reach out to local communities throughout the country periodically. Some of our key medical care initiatives include blood donation drives, medical fairs, Children Pediatric Care camps, Medicine distribution, Eye Camps, Minor Operation Camps and educational seminars.
